The loadout window (default L) is where you make your classes. TeamSpec has no fixed classes: every class is one you build, from four items and a split of spec points, and dressed how you like. See Classes for the spec system.

Building a class

  1. In My Classes, click the add tile to start a new class in Build-a-class, or right-click one of your classes and choose Edit.
  2. Give it a name and, if you like, an icon.
  3. Fill the four slots: primary, secondary, melee and accessory. Hover an item to see its card and stats.
  4. Drag the handle in the spec triangle to split 10 points between Pick (speed), Power (health) and Support (regeneration).
  5. A slot outlined in red holds an item your split cannot pay for. Move the handle until every item's cost is met; the triangle shows where that is possible. A kit whose costs add up to more than 10 can never be paid for.
  6. Write a short "how to play it" note, which is shown when you hover the class's tile.
  7. Press Save to keep it, or Apply to play it. A class needs a name no other class of yours uses. Delete Class removes it for good.

Your classes are saved and can sync between computers through Steam Cloud (see Settings). You can also set body colors and your skin tone here, and wear Cosmetics.

Tip: Right-click any item, in your loadout, the item picker or the Inventory, to see its details: stats, damage falloff and its 3D model. A weapon's details have a View on Wiki button that opens its page here.

Changing class in a match

You can switch to another of your classes while dead or standing in your own team's spawn room. Elsewhere the change waits until you next respawn, so a mid-fight change cannot be used as a free heal or reload.
