Bots

Bots are computer players. On Quickplay servers they fill empty seats and balance the teams, and each one leaves as a person joins. They choose their own loadouts, play the objective and fight like players do.

Some maps have bots of their own: the Academy's targets and shooters are part of the map, and a console there lets you change what they carry.

Adding bots yourself

When you host, open the Developer console (F1) to manage bots:

• bot_add [count] [loadout] adds bots, optionally with the items you list, such as bot_add 1 flamethrower,smg,castironpan.
• list_bots lists them with their ids, bot_kick <id> removes one and bot_kick_all removes them all.
• sv_bot_skill, sv_bot_reaction_scale and sv_bot_aim_error_scale make them easier or harder.
