The Thermal Void is a weapon for the primary slot.
Description
A caged black hole that drinks the heat out of whatever it is pointed at. Barely scratches anyone, but keep the stream on a target and it slows to a crawl, then freezes solid for a second. Bring a friend or a sidearm to make the most of it.
Freezing
Each target has a chill meter that fills while the stream is on them and drains on its own when it isn't.
- The stream hits about 10 times a second and fills the meter at about 1.0 per second, while it drains by itself at 0.4 per second. Kept on one target, the stream freezes them in about 1.7 seconds.
- A frozen player is stuck for 2 seconds.
- Teammates can cut a freeze short with a Flamethrower: its fire thaws allies about twice as fast as the Thermal Void chills them. See Flamethrower#Thawing teammates.
