The Struction Console is an accessory for the accessory slot.
Description
Harness your engineering skills to construct buildings for your team. Don't have an engineering degree? That's alright, the console comes with a suspiciously intelligent helper. Use the 1 to 4 keys to deploy a sentry that targets enemies on its own, a dispenser that resupplies teammates, and a two-part teleporter; press reload to switch between build and destroy modes.
Buildings
| Key | Building | Materials |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sentry | 150 |
| 2 | Dispenser | 100 |
| 3 | Teleporter entrance | 50 |
| 4 | Teleporter exit | 50 |
You can have one of each standing at a time. Materials refill from ammo pickups and in your spawn room.
Placing
- Press a building's key to show its blueprint, then primary fire to place it. Secondary fire cancels; the previous and next weapon keys turn it in 15 degree steps.
- The blueprint shows when the spot is refused, and some areas of a map do not allow building.
- A building takes 2.5 s to go up. While building it starts at 1 health and rises to full, can be damaged, and does nothing.
Carrying
- With nothing selected, secondary fire on your own finished building within reach picks it up. Place it again like a blueprint; it is not paid for again.
- It goes up again in 2.5 s at full health, then climbs back through each level it had.
- A carried building is lost if you die or switch away from the console.
Destroying
- Press reload to switch to destroy mode, then a building's key to take that building down.
- Removing the Struction Console from your loadout takes down all your buildings.
Repairing and upgrading
Hit a friendly building with the Hammerench:
- Hitting one still going up speeds up its construction.
- Hitting a damaged one repairs up to 35 health, at 1 material per 3 health. Hitting one end of a Teleporter repairs both ends.
- Hitting one at full health puts up to 25 materials into its upgrade bar. At 200 it goes up a level, to a maximum of 3, and its health rises to the new maximum.
- Each upgrade takes 2 s, during which the building does nothing.
Enemy buildings take damage from every weapon. Buildings shoot, heal and teleport only for their builder's team.
