The Steam Workshop is where players share maps they made in the Level Editor.
Playing Workshop maps
- Browse TeamSpec's Workshop page in Steam and press Subscribe on maps you like. Steam downloads them for you.
- Subscribed maps appear in the game's map list marked as Workshop maps. Host them like any other map (see Hosting a game).
When you join a server running a map you do not have, the game downloads it for you.
Publishing your own map
- Build your map in the Level Editor and export it as a
.tsmapfile. - In the game's main menu, open Workshop and choose your file.
- Press Test in Game. Publishing unlocks once the map has loaded successfully, so a broken map cannot be uploaded.
- Fill in the title, description, tags, visibility and an optional preview picture (1 MB or less), then publish.
To update a map later, enter its Workshop id and a change note. My Submissions lists what you have published.
