An ammo pack is a pickup that refills ammo and materials. Walk over one to take it.
Sizes
| Size | Ammo | Materials |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 25% of each weapon's reserve | 25% of your maximum (50) |
| Medium | 50% of each weapon's reserve | 50% of your maximum (100) |
| Large | 100% of each weapon's reserve | 100% of your maximum (200) |
- Every weapon you carry gets its share at once, not only the one in your hands.
- The ammo goes into the reserve, so you still have to reload. A weapon with no reserve gets it straight into its magazine.
- Nothing goes past a maximum.
Who can take one
- Any living player can take an ammo pack, whatever their team.
- You can take one whenever any of your weapons or your materials are short. A builder with full guns can still take one for materials.
- You cannot take one when everything is full. It stays on the ground for someone who needs it.
- A game mode can add its own rules about who may take a pickup.
On maps
Ammo packs are placed by the map maker as supply pickups (see Level Editor/Entities/Supply Pickup). Each one rests a little off the floor, turning slowly. When it is taken, a ring marks the spot until the next pack appears, 10 seconds later unless the map sets another time.
A player who dies also drops a medium ammo pack where they fell. It lasts 30 seconds and anyone can take it.
Note: The Dispenser refills ammo too, but never materials. Builders get materials from ammo packs.
