The emote wheel lets your character sit down, wave, cheer and more during a match.
Using the wheel
- Hold G. It can be rebound in Settings > Controls > Interface, as Emote Wheel (hold).
- While the wheel is open your view holds still. Move the mouse toward an emote to pick it.
- Let go of the key to play it. Letting go with the pointer still in the middle plays nothing.

While you emote
- You can emote only while you are alive, standing on the ground and not stunned.
- The weapon in your hand goes onto your body, where you carry it when you are not holding it, and comes back to your hand when the emote ends.
- Your character stays put, and your view swings out to a third-person camera so you can watch. Move the mouse to look around your character. The view returns to first person afterwards.
- A sit lasts until you move, jump, fire or switch weapons, and then your character stands up. A key you were already holding when the emote started counts only once you let go of it and press it again.
- Being knocked off your feet or stunned ends any emote at once.
- Everyone in the match sees your emotes, and so do replays and the kill cam.
- How an emote looks depends on your class's animation set, masculine or feminine.
