Description
The tension is killing me!
How it works
- Hold the trigger to draw the bow and let go to loose one arrow. A tap deals 50 damage and the arrow flies at 20 m/s; a full draw, one second of holding, deals 100 and flies at 65 m/s. Damage and speed rise in a straight line with the draw.
- The arrow falls as it flies: 12 m/s² after a tap, 4 m/s² after a full draw. A weak shot drops hard and a full draw flies nearly flat, so lead and aim high at range.
- Drawing slows you, more the longer you hold, down to 45% slower at a full draw.
- An arrow into the head deals double damage. Damage does not fall off with distance.
- The draw only builds while the bow is ready to fire: it waits out the time between shots and drawing the bow. One arrow is nocked at a time, and nocking the next takes 0.5 seconds.
- Letting go while you cannot fire, dying, or putting the bow away drops the draw without loosing the arrow.
- Arrows hit enemy players, buildings and Sar'Thuun. They fly through teammates and through you, and vanish after 5 seconds in the air.
- An arrow stays stuck in the wall or the body it hits for a while. An arrow that kills pins the body to a wall within 3.75 m behind it.
