World Boundary
Made with Functional > World Boundary
What it is The floor of the world: anyone who falls below it has left the map
In the game Yes, it is exported with the map

The World Boundary is a flat, endless plane through the point where you place it. Anybody whose position falls below it has left the world, and by default is killed with nobody credited. Every map needs one, below everything a player can stand on, so that a player who falls off the map does not fall forever.

Placing it

  1. Choose Functional > World Boundary.
  2. Click somewhere below the lowest floor of the map, with a few meters to spare. Only its height matters.

It shows in the editor as a red marker.

Inspector

Setting Type Default What it does
Point Name Text empty A label shown above it in the editor.

In the game

A player below the boundary has left the world. The gamemode hears about it in _left_world, which by default kills the player with nobody credited; a script can override it, for example to put the player back at a spawn. See The world boundary.

Warning: Do not name a zone WorldBoundary: that name belongs to the boundary.
